It is with great joy that we await the arrival of the newest addition to the Farinella Bakery family. Coming Spring 2014 Farinella Bakery invites you to visit us at our new mid-town location on Lexington Ave. between 61st and 62nd street. No longer will you have to eat and run. Farinella Mid-town will serve the same crispy Roman-style pizza that our neighbors on the UES have come to love, but with dining in options, take-away and delivery further downtown. Our dining room seats 40 and we’re putting the finishing touches on our wine and beer lists.
We’re almost ready to celebrate and we can’t wait to have you join us.

After some days of sampling pizza at the Farinella UES location we decided it was time to throw an official opening party. Naturally, we threw a party downtown. Why? Give the people what they want with their pizza!! The result just grew organically out of that thought. So, we rented the Chinatown Arcade and had DJ ADD/A-Ron and Neal Santos DJ for us. Needless to say they killed it and our very own Polo even got on the mic and showed the crowd how it's done in Neapolitan! Our full Palam's kept coming in from Farinella Tribeca just a couple of blocks away. Each pizza had 20 hands on it the moment the box was opened. The well fed masses danced and played arcade games into the night. Thanks to all the downtown and art-world legends like Henry Chalfant & Dante Ross, legends to be (we're looking at you Brandee Brown dance machine), and wannabe legends (you know who you are!!) who came out in support.

On September 9, 2010 we joined the legendary Harry Chalfant and about 500 B-Boys and B-girls, MCs, artists, and musicians, at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s ROSE cinema to help support a screening of Styles Wars. In 1983 director Harry Chalfant and producer Tony Silver made the watershed documentary Style Wars. STYLE WARS is regarded as the indispensable document of New York street-culture of the early 1980s; the filmic record of a golden age of youthful creativity that has inspired artists across the globe for over 2 decades.
We enjoyed watching Styles Wars in the company of such an eclectic crowd and loved seeing them chow down Farinella’s crispy, thin crust pizza.
